Ep 31 “To All a Good Night” (1980)

Are you having a great holiday season so far! We are, because we’ve been overdosing on holiday horror. One of the best, in our opinion, is the seminal Santa slasher “To All a Good Night.”vlcsnap-2016-12-12-15h01m08s537

It stars no one of note and was directed by no one of note. But what it lacks in basically everything else it makes up for in raucous teen partying,

evil Santa(s),

and implausible deaths.

Let’s meet everyone’s least favorite character

and now let’s meet everyone’s favorite

There is also a red herring in the form of Fast Ralph, who is basically Jack in real life, except Jack’s a lousy gardener.

The movie works really well for the first two acts but starts to drag in the last act, when a killer Santa whittles the group down to a spare few. It’s still more than worth watching though, for no particular reason we can think of. Oh wait.

Once you’ve finished listening to the podcast, grab your copy of the movie and head on over to our Audio Commentary Tracks page so you can listen to us watch the movie. After that, go play outside. But if you see Santa, run.
