Ep 30 “Trick or Treat” (1986)

Happy Halloween! To celebrate, we present a bonus episode. This film is a perfect combination of horror, heavy metal, and Halloween.

It’s a classic tale about a bullied kid who loves metal and the things the PMRC and Tipper Gore assured us would happen to him if he was allowed to commune with Satan, pictured here,

via heavy metal music. Who would have thought Tipper was so hep?

Here’s the main character, Eddie, and his pal:

Here are his bullies, who he defeats with Satan’s help (which actually seems like a nice thing to do):

Come to think of it, Satan is pretty helpful in this movie, except when he kills several dozen people during a concert. But hey, you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet, right?

That omelet is Sammy Curr, who dies during a Satanic ritual and comes back to life to resume his heavy metal career.

By the way, in spite of this poster,

Gene and Ozzy spend about five minutes in the movie. Here’s Gene looking none to pleased about being in the film, and Ozzy who literally videophoned in his role.
